Good to Know

About these guides.

Practical background for more informed financial conversations.

Purpose and scope

Good to Know is Axia Finance’s educational library for South African readers. It covers accounting, financial statements, tax, payroll and company administration. An article explains a topic; it does not replace an engagement or advice based on a complete set of facts.

Sources and dates

Articles link to primary references such as SARS, CIPC, government legislation, the Department of Employment and Labour and the IFRS Foundation where applicable. Official administrative guidance, enacted law, court decisions and proposed changes can have different legal status. We distinguish those where the difference affects the guidance. Dates shown on an article identify its publication and last content update, not an assurance that the law cannot change afterwards.

Examples and imagery

Worked examples are hypothetical unless explicitly stated otherwise. They explain a process and are not evidence of client outcomes. Editorial imagery is illustrative and generated for the collection; it does not claim to depict Axia Finance’s actual offices, clients or transactions. Each article has its own image.

Professional advice

Your entity type, tax year, employment arrangements and transaction facts can change the correct treatment. Confirm applicable rules and obtain appropriate advice before relying on a general guide for a decision. A named professional review is shown only when such a review has actually taken place.

Corrections

If a guide appears outdated or unclear, contact Axia Finance with the article URL and the point to check. An update should correct the relevant text and the article’s modification date.
